The peninsula of Point Reyes boldly sends its cliffs into the Pacific ocean, a few miles north of the Bay Area.

It is usually covered by fog, but sometimes clears up. In spring, it displays a varied flora whose existence could not be suspected in any other season.

This is a favourite of elephant seals, of whales, of tourists and photographers.
